The town of Linksfield forms parts of the greater Johannesburg area. Many of the residents commute to work in Johannesburg and surrounding areas.
Linksfield is mainly a residential town and has many upmarket properties. There are plenty of malls and other facilities nearby. The OR Tambo airport is about 15 minutes away.
Attractions in the Linksfield area include Bruma Lake and a number of golf courses.
