Olifants Camp is situated in the middle region of Kruger National Park and is quite close to Letaba Camp. The nearest entrance to the camp is at Phalaborwa.
This camp is often described as peaceful and many people visit it to take a more relaxing break as it doesn't have the hustle and bustle of camps like Skukuza Camp and Satara Camp. The camp is situated on a hill overlooking the Olifants River and provides spectacular views.
Olifants Camp has various types of accommodation with most of it being in rows separated by access roads and trees. Most of the accommodation does not have a view over the river. There is a well-stocked shop and a restaurant.
Game viewing in the surrounding area is not always productive and one needs to do a lot of mileage to see a variety of game. Having said that there are good chances of seeing Elephant and Cape Buffalo as well as Lion. Leopards are also spotted quite regularly.
