Ezemvelo Nature Reserve is an attractive reserve about 45 km east of Pretoria. One of its great features is the variety of activities available. Visitors can go game viewing, horse riding, fishing, mountain biking, putt-putt, swimming and more.

There are a few different accommodation options available including various huts and camping facilities. The reserve also caters for weddings and other functions. Day visitors are also welcome.

There is a wide variety of animals to be seen at Ezemvelo Nature Reserve including Eland, Black Wildebeest, Springbok, Black-backed Jackal and Waterbuck. Game drives, including night drives, are available.

Numerous species of birds have also been recorded. Some of the birds that may be seen include Blue Crane, Secretarybird, White-fronted Bee-eater, Woodland Kingfisher, Cape Longclaw and Ostrich
