Pedinorrhina trivittata

The yellow upsidedown heart-shaped markings on the back of this beetle give rise to its common name. The three blackish longitudinal stripes help identify it.

The Yellow-heart Fruit Chafer is normally found on flowers and fruit. It is also attracted to sap leaking out a tree and may also sometimes be found around bee-hives.

They are found over most of the eastern half of South Africa.
