Interesting facts about Wild Dogs
This dog goes by a whole bunch of different names including African Wild Dog, African Hunting Dog, Painted Dog, Painted Hunting Dog and Cape Hunting Dog but I am going to stick to Wild Dog.
The Wild Dog is a predatory species that hunts other mammals such as Impala, Kudu, juvenile Blue Wildebeest and Warthogs.
Wild Dogs live and hunt in packs.
An adult Wild Dog can weigh over 30 kg. They stand about 75 cm tall at the shoulder.
Females can give birth to 10 or more pups. They are normally born in a den.
