Kruger National Park is one of the main attractions for both visitors and residents of South Africa alike. It may be a once in a life time trip, or a regular holiday destination, but those who visit the park will have good memories for years to come.
Most people will enjoy time in Kruger National Park but there are those who long for different type of entertainment while on holiday and they might be disappointed. There are no shopping malls, television or other electronic entertainment and no night life so, if that is what you are looking for, then rather visit Cape Town, Durban, Sun City or one of the other wonderful places that South Africa has to offer.
What Kruger National Park does offer is the chance to see some amazing wildlife including the Big 5 and hundreds of species of birds. It is also a great place to unwind. Things tend to move slower in the park. There is also nothing like sitting around the braai (= barbecue) fire at night and listening to the night sounds of the African bush.
