Wildebeests Review of Questions & Answers - Mammals of Southern Africa

The Wildebeest reviewing a book

This book is one of a series aimed at younger wildlife enthusiasts but some adults, like me, will be seen reading through it and learning some interesting information.

Colourful artwork can be found on every page along with some fascinating snippets of information. One can read about subjects such as carnivore hunting techniques, why bats hang upside-down, what do Otter’s eat and much more. From whales to elephants and moles to lions there is a wide variety of mammals included in the book.

I think that this book, and the others in the series, is a good way to introduce young kids to the fascinating mammals that we have in South Africa. A child will get a lot of fun, and information, by taking the book with when next the family visit Kruger National Park.
